About Me
Hello, my name is Karla
I am a fully qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, accredited member of BACP. I work with adults and young people, specialising in anxiety, low self-esteem, self-doubt, chronic stress, relationships, and life transitions. I am passionate about encouraging self development and growth in every stage of life and the belief in continuous transformation.
My work blends integrative and humanistic therapies with mindfulness and body-based practices. With my background in teaching yoga and meditation, I understand how deeply our body, breath, and mind are connected. In our work I may invite gentle mindfulness or breathing techniques to help you feel grounded and present, alongside therapeutic exploration of your thoughts and feelings.
I also bring my own life experiences of travel, cultural diversity, and personal growth into my practice. These shape my own open, non judgmental way of being with clients. I believe therapy is not about "fixing" you, about walking alongside you, helping you reconnect with your own strength and inner wisdom.
At Your Storylines Therapy, you will find a safe, calm, and supportive space where you can be fully heard. My role is to help you explore your story with compassion and curiosity, so that you can discover new ways forward and create a life that feels more balanced, authentic and fulfilling.


My Approach to Healing
My approach to counselling is integrative, which means I draw on different therapeutic methods depending on your needs. I combine humanistic therapy with elements of IFS(Internal Family Systems), mindfulness, and body awareness practices. How can therapy with me help you? I believe healing happens when we bring awareness to the whole self-mind, body, and breath. Sometimes this may look like exploring patterns of thoughts and emotions. Other times, it may be pausing to notice what is happening in the body, or taking a moment to breathe and reconnect with the present. These practices help you ground yourself, manage stress, and feel more balanced. Each person's story is unique, and so is the path to healing. Together, we will find an approach that feels right for you, whether you are navigating anxiety, low self esteem, life transitions, or simply wanting to grow in self awareness and self care and self development.
I offer flexible options, in person, walk-and-talk in nature, and online counselling, making it easy to access help wherever you are in the UK or abroad. I am open minded and supportive to individual needs and promoting sense of respect, non judgment and cultural diversity.
I am providing clients with safe, calm a comfortable environment to express their feelings.
